Job summary

VyTalent Solutions seeks a travel Operating Room Registered Nurse for a hospital assignment in Baltimore, MD. The role requires strong OR and trauma experience, with a wide range of procedures and sterilization technology skills to support complex cases.

The position offers 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, and a 13–14 week contract length. Maryland or compact RN license is required, with OR experience and trauma proficiency as essential prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Maryland or compact RN license required.
• 2 years of Operating Room experience required.
• Level II trauma experience required.
• Proficiency in Trauma, ENT, Colorectal, Plastics, Neurosurgery, Surgical Oncology, Oral/Dental, Laparoscopic Procedures, Urology, Ophthalmology, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Robotics, Vascular and Thoracic procedures.
• General OR and Trauma experience required.
• Emergency OR response, fire safety, malignant hyperthermia, and latex allergy precautions required.
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, age-appropriate care in the Operating Room for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Assist in preparing and responding to emergency OR situations, including trauma cases.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical technology such as electrosurgical units, fiber-optic equipment, and Steris equipment.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support minimally invasive techniques and evidence-based care.
• Serve as a resource for patients and families, ensuring comprehensive perioperative support.
