Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg-Oncology RN for an 18-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit in Birmingham, AL with a 6:1 patient ratio. The role operates on 3x12 day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15, with every other weekend and floating as needed; no on-call duties. Active AL or Compact RN license, BLS and NIHSS per AHA required, and at least 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AL or Compact) required.
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required (AHA only, American Red Cross not accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience required.
• Med/Surg experience required.

Responsibilities

• 6:1 patient ratio on an 18-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit.
• Floating to other units as needed.
