Job summary
American Traveler is actively seeking a Med/Surg-Oncology RN for a night shift assignment. Requires 2+ years of relevant experience and NIHSS certification. The unit setting is Med/Surg-Oncology with 12-hour nights and 36 hours per week, including a weekend rotation.

Qualifications

- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- NIHSS certification required (may be obtained during onboarding).
- 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience required.
- Experience with Heparin, PCA and epidural drips.
- Chemotherapy certification required if administering chemo drips.

- Med/Surg-Oncology unit setting
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM, 36 hrs/week
- Weekend rotation required every third weekend
- No on-call requirements
- May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
- EMR: Epic
- Active RN license, IA or compact license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (NIHSS may be obtained during onboarding)
- 2+ years of Med/Surg and/or Oncology experience required
- Experience administering Heparin, PCA, and epidural drips required
- Chemotherapy certification required if administering chemo drips
- Travel and high acuity care experience preferred
- Driver's license, work history/resume, and license verification required for consideration
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
- One supervisory reference required at time of consideration
- Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
- Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg and Oncology patients
- Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
- Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
- Holiday coverage required: must work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
- Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December
