Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an Infusion RN with CA licensure and oncology experience to provide infusion and oncology care in a hospital setting in Jackson, CA. This 13-week assignment features a 1:3 patient ratio, day shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 4x10-hour shifts available on request.

Requirements include active CA RN license, BLS and ACLS, OCN certification, and a minimum of 2 years RN experience with oncology. Lodging and other stipends may apply per contract.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• OCN certification required.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with oncology experience.
• Skilled in starting IVs, dressing changes, assessments, interpreting labs, obtaining vitals, and administering IM/IV/SC meds.
• Experience with specimen collection and venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Infusion Center of a hospital setting.
• Care for patients with iron deficiency anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, MS, immune deficiencies, chronic infections requiring IV antibiotics, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and oncology-related conditions.
• Provide biologic therapies, hydration, immunotherapy, injections, and supportive infusion treatments.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:3.
• Follow day shift hours 7:30 AM–4:00 PM; 4x10-hour shifts available on request.

• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 5x8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 4x10-hour shift schedule available upon request

Requirements

Additional Information

• Provide infusion and oncology nursing care including biologic therapies, hydration, immunotherapy, and injections
• Assist with procedure setup and support for infusion treatments
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate
• Returning staff must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Holiday coverage limited to one holiday per contract, with approved holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
• Must complete lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers may be considered depending on experience
