American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool at a Level 1 trauma hospital in Morgantown, WV. The position covers MedSurg/Stepdown/Telemetry units with 12-hour weekend day shifts and 36 hours guaranteed per week. Requires 2+ years acute care, WV license, BLS/ACLS, and Epic EMR experience.

Travel-ready candidates with Level 1 trauma experience are preferred. Must reside outside 50-mile radius for travel eligibility; discretionary housing allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Active WV RN license required and BLS/ACLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of RN acute care experience.
• Epic EMR experience required; Level 1 trauma and travel nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resource Pool position covering MedSurg/Stepdown/Telemetry units at a Level 1 trauma hospital.
• Units include MedSurg, Stepdown, Trauma, General Surgery, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, and EMU.
• 12-hour weekend day shifts; 36 guaranteed hours per week; 1:3 Stepdown ratio, 1:6 MedSurg/Telemetry.
• Provide nursing care across multiple units as part of float pool; use Epic EMR.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of acute care experience and strong adaptability across multiple unit types.

Requirements

• Active WV or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Level 1 trauma and travel nursing experience preferred
• Must be well-rounded and strong in Stepdown, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, General Medicine, and Oncology nursing

Responsibilities

• Resource Pool position covering all MedSurg/Stepdown/Telemetry units at a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital
• Units include MedSurg, Stepdown, Trauma, General Surgery, Neuro, Ortho, Oncology, and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU)
• Each unit has up to 34 beds
• Patient ratios are 1:3 for Stepdown and 1:6 for MedSurg/Telemetry
• Uses Epic EMR
• 12-hour weekend day shifts (Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday rotation), 7a-7:30p
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Provide nursing care across multiple MedSurg, Stepdown, and Telemetry units as part of a resource/float pool
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positions
• Previous perm employees must have a 2-year break before reapplying
• Previous travelers who completed a full year must take a 2-year break before returning
• Travelers may not work cumulatively more than one year within the health system without taking a 2-year break
• Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
