Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg RN for the night shift in Kentucky. The role requires an active KY or compact RN license, ACLS and BLS, and at least 2 years of Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting with swing beds.

The position involves a 7:00 PM–7:30 AM schedule, no call, and rotation with every other weekend. Candidates must reside 60 miles or more from the facility for travel rate eligibility and will work in a facility with Med/Surg and swing bed patients, using Medhost

• Acute care experience preferred; some rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for Med/Surg and swing bed patients in a critical access hospital.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM with every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage.
• Float to ACU PRN in light ICU setting with no ventilators.
• No call requirements; facility offers inpatient, surgical, emergency and diagnostic services.
• Use Medhost EHR for documentation.
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and an active KY or compact RN license.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Critical access hospital setting on the 2nd floor Medical Surgical Combination unit
• Specialty is Med/Surg with swing beds
• 16 Med/Surg beds plus 2 ACU beds
• Patient ratio of 6:1
• Adult patient population with a geriatric mix, no pediatric patients
• Common diagnoses include lower level acute and subacute rehab cases
• Uses Medhost EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend or as-needed weekend coverage
• Float requirement to ACU PRN, a light ICU setting with no ventilators
• No call requirements
• Facility is licensed as a critical access hospital offering inpatient, surgical, emergency, and diagnostic services
• Provide nursing care across Med/Surg and swing bed patients with a geriatric mix
• Scrubs must be solid colors with no specific color requirement, no fleece, hoodies, or non-scrub attire allowed
• Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
