Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg/OB-GYN RN for a night shift. Requires 1 year of Mother/Baby or Med Surg experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

Responsibilities include working in a mixed-ward OB-GYN unit, patient ratio around 6:1, EPIC EMR experience preferred, and rotating weekends. Local candidates within 50 miles may be considered with adjusted billing.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Missouri or compact license eligible for MO licensure.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• NRP and STABLE certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Mother/Baby or Med Surg required.
• No gaps in employment exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months.
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required.
• Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1.

Responsibilities

• Obstetrics/Gynecology unit with 24 adult beds and 10 newborn beds.
• Patient population includes mother/baby, med/surg, GYN surgical, bariatric, and colorectal surgery cases.
• Patient ratio approximately 6:1.
• Night shift schedule, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
• Weekend rotation required approximately every third weekend.
• No call requirements.
• Floating required based on skill level, as needed by facility.
• Night shift staff orient on day shift and must be available the entire orientation week.
• Utilizes the nursing process to provide and coordinate patient care across departments.
• Maintains professional accountability and evaluates care provided by other direct caregivers.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Team player with a positive attitude and motivated self-starter approach preferred.
• Local candidates accepted within 50 miles at a reduced bill rate.

• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, must be made up during the assignment

• Candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
