Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU (MSICU) night shift position in Michigan. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of SICU experience and an active MI license, with BLS/ACLS and Epic EMR experience preferred.

Position includes a 12-hour night schedule, no on-call requirements, and travel housing and licensure reimbursements. Open to candidates who reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; travel assignments limited by geography.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required, Nursys or LARA verification must confirm active status.
• Compact license not accepted.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA).
• Minimum 2 years of SICU experience required.
• Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Prior travel assignment history preferred.
• Skills checklist pertinent to ICU specialty, current within 1 year, required.
• Two completed supervisory reference forms within the last two years required.

Responsibilities

• Nights in Surgical ICU unit within a 324-bed medical center offering Level II trauma care.
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:42p-7:12a).
• Three weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period (Fri and Sat).
• No on-call requirements.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Perform integrated pre- and post-operative critical care nursing functions using the nursing process.
• Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychological, and social needs along with family support.
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs.
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement total patient care.

• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans accordingly

• Navy blue scrubs required as part of dress code
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
• Local candidates limited to one travel assignment
