American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week community hospital assignment in Missouri. Requires at least 1 year of Med/Surg-Telemetry experience and active MO or Compact RN license.

Position features a 7A-7P schedule, 27-bed Med/Surg-Telemetry unit, and a variety of procedures including general surgery, EKG, and wound care. Housing and travel reimbursements are available for travelers.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (MO or Compact).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg-Telemetry experience required.
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Care for Med/Surg-Telemetry patients on a 27-bed unit.
• Perform post-surgical monitoring and routine assessments.
• Use Meditech EMR for charting and order entry.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds and patient care.

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week community hospital assignment requiring at least 1 year of recent Med/Surg-Telemetry experience.

Requirements

• Active RN license (MO or Compact) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg-Telemetry experience required
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
• Two professional references required for Missouri assignments
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit located on 2 West of the main hospital building
• 27-bed unit staffed with 1 CNC, 5-6 RNs, and 3 CNAs per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Common procedures include general surgery, echo, EKG, colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac care
• Uses Welch-Allyn vital sign machines, glucometers, Polar Ice, and CBI equipment
• Meditech EMR used for charting
• 7A-7P shift schedule
• 3 weekend shifts required per month
• No on-call requirements
• Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg-Telemetry unit including pre/post-surgical monitoring
• Grey scrubs required for RNs/LPNs
• Opportunities available for precepting and working with students
• Case management and PT/OT/ST services located on the same floor as the unit
• Daily multidisciplinary rounds (MDRs) held to coordinate patient care
• Unit and policy/procedure orientation provided
• Open to block scheduling for travelers
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted
