Job summary

Sweetwater Care seeks a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for LTAC hospital care, specializing in trach and vent management. You will provide direct patient care, collaborate with rehab teams, and support patients toward independence.

Requirements include BSN/ADN, 1–2 years in acute or respiratory nursing, BLS/ACLS, and CRRN preferred. Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, are expected.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in state of practice.
• BSN or ADN required.
• 1–2 years of acute care or respiratory nursing experience.
• Experience with trach and ventilator care.
• BLS/ACLS certification; CRRN preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgery, illness or injury.
• Manage patients with tracheostomy and ventilator support.
• Assess conditions and develop care plans with physicians and therapists.
• Administer medications and monitor effects.
• Assist patients with ADLs and mobility.
• Educate patients and families on rehab goals and discharge planning.
• Maintain documentation in electronic health records.
• Collaborate with respiratory therapists for ventilator management.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.
• Participate in team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
