Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN House Supervisor with an NM or compact RN license and 4+ years of nursing leadership experience.

The role covers night shifts overseeing ED, MS, and ICU units, with patient ratios of 5:1 on MS and 2:1 on ICU. Strong leadership, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a high‑stress environment are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NM or compact state
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 4 years of RN leadership/experience
• Associate of Science in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Ability to care for ICU and ED patients and assist with MS
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Night shift house supervisor role covering a 10-bed ED, 15-bed MS unit, and 4-bed ICU
• Patient population includes adults and geriatric patients across ED, MS and ICU
• Patient ratios of 5:1 on MS and 2:1 on ICU
• Uses Medhost and Medhost EDIS EHR systems
• Weekend coverage required, minimum of 4 shifts per month
• No call requirements; float to all units including ICU, ED, and MS
• Provides after-hours nursing leadership and acts as a staff resource
• Oversees overall quality of care across the facility and reports to the Chief Nursing Officer
• Must work effectively in a high-stress, limited-resource environment
• Scrubs policy: appropriate appearance; smoking rules not specified
• Candidates reside more than 60 miles from facility; no permanent LifePoint staff in last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time

• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
