Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week assignment in Gillette, WY. This role offers 36 hours per week, night shifts, and the chance to work with a dedicated clinical team while delivering obstetric care.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of Labor and Delivery RN experience, an active RN license, BLS, and NRP certification; additional certifications like AWHONN monitoring or ACLS are preferred. Travel pay packages include comprehensive benefits and support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience
• Active RN license compliant with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families
• Administer prescribed obstetric medications and treatments
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor and delivery
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and team members
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols
• Document care and interventions in the medical record
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives for maternal and neonatal outcomes
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpretation of results
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Comply with hospital policies, laws, and guidelines for obstetric nursing care
• Perform other duties within the scope of labor and delivery nursing
