Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Worland, Wyoming. The role involves direct obstetric care, fetal monitoring, and teamwork with physicians and staff.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of L&D RN experience, current RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and a commitment to patient safety and high-quality care in a travel setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide postpartum care including mother and newborn stabilization.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and teams.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document care and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement for maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpretation of results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
