Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Clyde, North Carolina. The role requires at least one year of L&D experience, an active RN license, and BLS/NRP certifications. The package includes competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Shifts are 12 hours, days, with 36 hours per week, and the assignment begins ASAP. Travel nurses enjoy support from a dedicated clinical team and licensure reimbursement as part of the benefits package.

Qualifications

• One years’ recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn assessment.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and team members.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care and assessments in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
