Job summary
Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Labor & Delivery unit in Hilo, Hawaii. The contract is 13 weeks starting 11/09/2026, offering 3x12-hour rotating shifts and weekly pay between $1,826 and $1,908.
Responsibilities include direct nursing care for laboring patients, delivering newborn care, fetal monitoring, and postpartum support. Requirements: Hawaii RN license, BLS, NRP, 3 years L&D experience, Meditech proficiency, and ability to work rotating shifts with on-call.
Qualifications
- Active Hawaii RN license by start of assignment; travelers must obtain Hawaii license before start.
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Labor and delivery experience: minimum 3 years.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with 36 hours per week after orientation; call at least once per month.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for laboring patients, monitor maternal/fetal status and labor progression.
- Assist with delivery and newborn care; provide postpartum support for mother.
- Monitor fetal status with monitoring systems; document findings in EMR; collaborate with obstetric team.
- Deliver postpartum education and support for families, including breastfeeding initiation; uphold safety and infection control practices.
- Work in an L&D unit with beds; respond to obstetric emergencies as part of the care team.
