Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a high-acuity unit in Texas. The ideal candidate has at least three years in ICU, an active Texas or compact RN license, and current BLS/ACLS through AHA.

You will cover night shifts 18:45 to 07:15 on a 13-week assignment, float between ICU and Step Down, and manage complex cases such as CABG, STEMI, and sepsis with Ventilation, HFNC, and CRRT as needed.

Qualifications

• Active TX or compact RN license required.
• Minimum of three years of ICU experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start.
• Primary source license verification required for all licensed professionals.
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based critical care ICU unit coverage for medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
• Night shift schedule from 18:45 to 07:15.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Must float between ICU and Step Down within the critical care service line.
• Care for patients with TAVR, CABG, CVA, sepsis, STEMI, pneumonia, and other critical conditions.
• Utilizes ventilator management, HFNC, TTM, IABP, Impella, and CRRT as needed.
• Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity ICU patients.
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required.
• Radius rule applies for local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location.
• Discuss extension opportunities ~45 days before assignment end date.

• Provide critical care nursing to high-acuity medical, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU patients
• Flexibility to float between ICU and Step Down units as needed
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required
• Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
• Candidates should begin discussing extension opportunities with management approximately 45 days before assignment end date
