Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN for a 14-week assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center. Requires at least 2 years ICU experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Responsibilities include night 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shifts, 3x12s, with guaranteed hours and potential to float locally. Epic EMR used; strong interdisciplinary team support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or compact required.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• One supervisory reference from the past 2 years.
• ICU skills checklist must be completed.
• Driver's license is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Care for ICU patients in a Level 3 Trauma Center.
• Night shift hours 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, 3x12s.
• Floating within local campuses if needed.
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient care documentation.
• Provide interdisciplinary professional clinical care and management.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift ICU RN for a 14-week assignment at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and an active IA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or compact)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military accepted)
• TNCC certification preferred
• One supervisory performance evaluation or reference completed within the last two years required
• Skills checklist specific to ICU required
• Driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• ICU unit within a hospital setting
• Level 3 Trauma Center
• Night shift, 3x12s, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• 36-hour guaranteed schedule with ability to accept up to 48 hours
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR
• Serve as part of an interdisciplinary team providing professional clinical care and management to ICU patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Past UnityPoint Health (UPH) employees, whether FTE or PRN float pool, may not work travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
• Required to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the weeks of 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26
