Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a critical care role at a Level 3 trauma teaching hospital in Minnesota. CCRN-preferred certification and a minimum of 2 years ICU experience are required.

The role includes night or day shifts, a 1:2 patient ratio, and floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate. Epic charting is used, with a Navy scrub color and a 317-bed teaching facility.

Qualifications

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted).
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications; CCRN preferred.
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience.
• Experience with a variety of med/surg and cardiac ICU patients.
• Skills in genitourinary/renal care, cardiovascular monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency medications preferred.
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a critical care ICU with a focus on medical/surgical and cardiac critical care patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:2.
• Night shift (4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) or Day shift (4x12 hours, 7:00-19:30) available.
• Required to work every other weekend.
• No on-call requirements.
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital.
• Uses Epic (Excellian) charting system.
• Work in a 317-bed acute care teaching hospital designated as a Level 3 trauma center.
• Free charge nurse responsibilities as part of the role.
• Navy scrub color required.
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible, with no local radius exception for this position.
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months since their last shift worked as permanent staff or per diem.
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
