Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Trauma ICU RN for a night shift assignment in California. You will provide critical care to trauma ICU patients, including ventilated cases and neuro/ ICP monitoring, working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM in a Level II trauma center.

Requires CA RN license and 2 years ICU experience, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS; TNCC preferred. Travel-friendly environment with housing allowance and per diem options; first-time travelers welcome.

Qualifications

Active CA RN license required.
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
Minimum 2 years ICU experience required.
Experience caring for ventilated patients.
Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration/monitoring.
Experience with neurological care and ICP monitoring.
Level I and Level II Trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Trauma ICU unit within an acute care hospital.
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM).
Weekend shifts required.
No on-call requirements.
Float to any ICU/TELE unit within scope based on facility need.
Uses Cerner charting system.
Level II Trauma Center, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital.
Provide critical care nursing to trauma ICU patients including respiratory, thoracic, and neurological cases.
Up to 2 days of RTO with 1 approved holiday off.
Three missed shifts may result in assignment cancellation.
Facility maintains a strict dress code: no facial hair, acrylic nails, unnatural hair colors, visible piercings (other than small earlobe earrings), and all tattoos must be covered.
No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted.
First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate.
Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
