Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM assignment. Prior travel nursing experience and an OH or compact RN license are required. The role includes a 13-week assignment with potential for permanent opportunities after completion.

Requirements include active license in hand, minimum 2 years of ICU experience, and current BLS/ACLS certifications. Willingness to float to MedSurg and to cover holidays is requested, with local candidates preferred.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift assignment requiring prior travel experience and OH or compact RN licensure.

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Critical care/ICU experience highly considered
• Must not have worked at the facility within the last 5 years if a former permanent employee

Responsibilities

• ICU unit setting
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (7:00 PM-7:00 AM)
• 13-week assignment length
• Must be willing to float to MedSurg based on hospital census and staffing needs
• Floating to other units will occur in rotation with facility staff, with orientation provided per Joint Commission standards
• Smoke/nicotine free facility
• Keep RTO requests to a minimum, especially during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Avoid requesting full calendar weeks off during the assignment
• Some holiday coverage expected
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restrictions and are highly preferred
• Possibility of a permanent position offer after assignment completion
