American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for an LTAC setting in Louisiana with active compact or LA RN license. ACLS/BLS required and 1+ year nursing and ICU experience highly preferred, with LTAC and Epic EMR familiarity.

Position features day shifts, 3x12s, 13-week assignment with potential block scheduling. Travel nurses welcome; housing and travel reimbursements offered, with 2 of 4 holidays required and orientation five days weekly.

Formación

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Prior ICU experience.
• LTAC experience preferred.
• Epic charting system experience.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Driver's license required for consideration.
• Up-to-date NURSYS report required (within 4 weeks of submission).

Responsabilidades

• LTAC ICU unit setting.
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (6:45-19:15).
• 13-week assignment with block scheduling considered.
• Performs special procedures including TPN administration, wound care, drain management, Foley catheter care, and narcotic administration.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• No on-call requirements.
• Provide critical care nursing services within an LTAC ICU environment.
• May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended stay at the facility during emergency events, as determined by unit management.
• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s).
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position.
• Orientation held 5 days a week.
• Two Manager/Supervisor references (not Charge RN) required to obtain clearance to start contract, though not required for initial submission.
• Candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted.
• Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the health system for a full year before returning as a traveler.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included on the candidate profile and discussed during the interview to avoid offer rescindment.
