Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a MICU position requiring 2+ years of MICU/MSICU experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• MICU/MSICU unit within a hospital setting


• Assignments are made according to patient acuity and staff skill level


• Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors


• Documentation completed in Meditech


• 13-week assignment with 7A-7P shift schedule


• No call requirements


• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or compact) required; temporary licenses will not be accepted


• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required


• CCRN certification preferred


• Minimum 2 years of MICU/MSICU experience required


• Meditech experience preferred


• Experience with central line placements, bedside procedures such as thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU procedures

Additional Information

• Perform a full range of ICU nursing duties including complex bedside procedures


• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs


• Clean and healthy nails required with no artificial nail enhancements


• Hair must be neat, clean, and pulled back if shoulder-length or longer; facial hair must be neatly trimmed


• Visible body art should be covered whenever possible


• Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited, including nose and tongue rings


• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
