MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel RN First Assist in Lorain, Ohio for a 13-week assignment at 40 hours weekly. The RNFA must have extensive experience as both scrub and circulating nurse in acute perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care Perioperative Nursing experience as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Successful RNFA program completion meeting AORN standards. BLS/ACLS/CNOR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon by performing intraoperative functions during surgery, including retraction, hemostasis, tissue manipulation, and wound closure.
• Provide direct patient care as first assistant to the surgeon during operative procedures.
• RNFA will perform first assisting under the direct supervision of the primary surgeon.
• RNFA will communicate any patient care issues verbally to the surgeon.
