Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN First Assist for a Rochester, NY assignment. This travel position requires 36 hours per week across 12-hour shifts for a 13-week duration.

Qualified candidates have 18 months perioperative RN experience, hold an active RN license, and completed an RNFA program meeting AORN standards, with BLS, ACLS, CNOR certifications. Benefits and housing options are included.

Qualifications

• Eighteen months of recent Acute Care Perioperative Nursing experience as scrub and circulating nurse.
• Active RN License.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• RNFA program completed meeting AORN standards.
• BLS, ACLS, CNOR certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with intraoperative tasks including retraction, hemostasis, tissue handling and wound closure.
• Provide direct perioperative patient care as first assistant to the surgeon.
• RNFA to perform first assisting under direct supervision of the primary surgeon.
• Communicate any patient care issues to the surgeon promptly.
