Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling First Assist RN to join a surgical team in Pittsfield, MA. The RNFA will assist the surgeon during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care as part of a 13-week contract assignment.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, active RN license, BLS, and First Assist certification with perioperative experience. Strong communication and attention to patient safety are essential for success on this travel assignment.

Qualifications

• Must have AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Health Care Providers.
• Certification as a First Assist RN and perioperative nursing knowledge are required.
• Operating room experience is required and critical for success.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide postoperative education.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage intraoperative care.
• Administer medications as needed and ensure patient safety.
