American Traveler, LLC. seeks an RN for an Emergency Department position in Washington. You must hold a WA State or Compact RN license with ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC, and you will work 3x12s totaling 36 hours per week in a hospital ED.

Qualifications

• Active WA State or Compact RN license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS and TNCC certifications.
• Must follow Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit standards.

Responsibilities

• ED setting within a hospital environment.
• Day/Evening 3x12s, totaling 36 hours per week.
• Shifts from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM to 11:00 PM–1:00 AM.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Float as a sitter; may float to another campus.
• Provide high quality, compassionate patient care using nursing process.
• Develop, implement, and reassess individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures.
• Evaluate discharge plans and patient education needs.
• Document care, assessments, and interventions accurately.
• Perform holistic ongoing assessments and respond appropriately.
• Delegate and supervise care by non-licensed staff.
• Educate patients and families on health information.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe care.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment per policies.

• Coordinates and provides high quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
• Develops, implements, and reassesses individualized patient care plans
• Administers medications and performs nursing procedures and treatments
• Evaluates discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Documents care, assessments, and interventions accurately
• Performs holistic ongoing patient assessments and responds appropriately
• Delegates and oversees care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Teaches patients and families relevant health information
