American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 3+ years of ER experience and trauma bedside skills.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced hospital Emergency Department treating all patient types
• Patient population ranges from urgent care and psych to pediatric and critical care/trauma cases
• Must be willing and able to work as the bedside trauma RN in the trauma room
• Trauma ratio of 1:5
• 36 hours per week
• Cerner EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active RN license in the District of Columbia (no pending licenses accepted)
• Required certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, BLS, PALS, and ACLS (AHA certifications only)
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience required
• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program
• BSN highly desired
• Cerner charting experience required
• Two manager or supervisor references verifying experience within the last 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tubes
• Coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
