American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Texas. The role requires ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC, plus TNCC. A TX or compact RN license is mandatory, with at least 1 year of ED experience.

Responsibilities include night shifts in a Level III ED, with 24 beds, a chest pain center, and a stroke program. Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, with travel and licensure reimbursements provided.

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certification plus TNCC.

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the Emergency Department specialty
• Required certificates: ACLS and BLS
• Must hold either PALS or ENPC certification
• TNCC certification required
• ATCN or CEN certification preferred
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
• US SSN required; Canadian SSN not accepted

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed Level III trauma center Emergency Room that is also an accredited chest pain center and primary stroke center
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week assignment
• Staffing includes a charge nurse, 4 RNs, a paramedic, and 1-3 sitters per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses Lucas devices, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, GE bedside monitors, and EKG machines
• Charts in Meditech EMR
• No floating required
• Weekend shifts required at a minimum of 2 per month
• No on-call requirements
• Provide acute care and assessment for adult and pediatric ER patients, including behavioral health cases
• Perform IV initiation, blood collection, blood transfusions, medication administration, and resuscitation
• Assist with intubation, restraint application, splinting, and moderate sedation
• Team-oriented, family-like unit culture with flexibility to work in different areas such as triage and resus rooms
• Dress code requires royal blue scrubs
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
