Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a fast-paced hospital ED setting in Denver. The role requires TNCC, NIHSS, CPI Blue Card, and multiple core certifications with at least 1 year of ED experience.

Candidates must hold a CO or compact RN license and be willing to work a 7:00 AM–7:00 PM schedule in a 24-bed ED, with a 13-week assignment and travel housing benefits. Local candidates are not considered.

Qualifications

• Active CO or compact RN license required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, ENPC (PALS substitute if ENPC not available) required.
• CPI Blue Card certification required.
• At least 1 year of current hospital ED experience requested.
• CEN and CPEN/US IV competency preferred.
• Pediatric ED experience preferred for pediatric assignments.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days in the past year.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 24-bed Emergency Department within a hospital main building.
• Day shift team includes 4 RNs, 1 charge nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift unit clerk, and 1 EMT.
• Night shift team includes 4 RNs, 1 night EMT, and 1 night charge nurse.
• Patient ratios of 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge.
• Use GE monitors and Meditech/CPN EMR system.
• Shift schedule 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM; 13-week assignment length.
• Perform port access, IV starts, venipuncture, and nasal wash.
• Conduct troponin, lactic acid, urine dip, EKGs, and Foley catheter placement.
• Join a team valued for being caring, compassionate, and friendly.
• Must demonstrate strong communication and willingness to go above and beyond.
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates.
