American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level II Trauma Center in Oregon with evening shifts. Recent ED experience is required and travel candidates are encouraged.

The role covers adult and pediatric ED patients, with a 1:4 patient load and responsibilities including assessment, planning, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Epic experience is preferred, and licensure considerations for Washington are noted.

Qualifications

• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating adult and pediatric patients.
• Handle Level II trauma Center cases including trauma, STEMI, abdominal pain, COPD exacerbation, UTI, stroke, sepsis and orthopedic injuries.
• Patient ratio 1:4 and evening shift 3x12 hours (1500-0330).
• Use Epic charting system and provide direct patient care from assessment to evaluation.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care team and adhere to facility policies.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level II Trauma Center with evening shifts and recent ED experience required.

Requirements

• Active or pending Washington state RN license accepted
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• CPI certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience within the past 5 years required
• Level II trauma center experience required, with recency within the past 3-5 years preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred, ideally within the past year
• Prior travel experience preferred, though candidates with 5+ years of experience or multi-facility employment may be considered
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor or charge nurse
• Proof of Washington license application required if license is not yet in hand

Responsibilities

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Level II Trauma Center handling trauma, STEMI, abdominal pain, COPD exacerbation, UTI, stroke, sepsis, and orthopedic injury cases
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Evening shift schedule of 3x12 hours from 1500-0330
• No floating required within the facility
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of ED patients
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team across nursing, physicians, and support staff
• Scrubs of any color are accepted
• Free parking available on-site
• Candidates must live outside a 60-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel consideration
• First-time travelers may be considered if they meet experience and skill requirements
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if license is still in process at time of offer
