Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department in Michigan. The candidate must hold an MI RN license, TNCC and other required certifications, with at least 2 years of ED experience. Night shifts are 12 hours (6:00 PM–6:00 AM) with every-other-weekend work and no on-call duties.

The role uses Cerner EMR in a Level II trauma center; local travel within 35 miles is preferred. Gray scrubs dress code and travel benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN Emergency Department experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, TNCC, BLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA)
• TNCC certification required; ENPC not acceptable substitute

Responsibilities

• Work in the Emergency Room unit of a Level II verified trauma center
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• Required to work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Cerner EMR
• Provide emergency care for a wide range of acute conditions including stroke, cardiac events, trauma, and severe injuries
• Gray scrubs required as part of the dress code
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested
• Local candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers
