Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with TNCC and MEDITECH experience to join a fast-paced trauma-receiving ER in Georgia. The role requires active GA RN license, TNCC, CPI, and at least 5 years of RN experience, with prior travel assignment preferred.

You will work 12-hour day shifts (7a–7p), every other weekend and holiday, in a high-volume center. MEDITECH EMR proficiency and willingness to reside outside a 75-mile radius are essential.

Qualifications

• Active GA license required with compact state eligibility.
• Requires TNCC, CPI and ASN/BSN preferred certifications.
• Minimum 5+ years RN experience, travel assignment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in a high-volume Emergency Center with 180-200 visits per day.
• Provide care across pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma and CVA cases.
• Operate in a 12-hour shift framework with 36 hours weekly.
• Perform own labs and IVs, with support from team and RTs.
• Adhere to MEDITECH 6.15 EMR and facility orientation.

Job description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Dept RN with TNCC and MEDITECH experience for a fast-paced, high-volume trauma-receiving ER.

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and ASLS or NIHSS
• Minimum 5+ years of RN experience required
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
• MEDITECH EMR experience required
• Driver's license address must match the location listed for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting in a high-volume Emergency Center seeing approximately 180-200 patient visits per day
• Patient ratios of 1 to 4
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, neuro, ortho, and CVA cases
• Unit includes a 6-bed behavioral/psych seclusion area staffed by psych personnel
• Supported by charge nurses, nurse aides/paramedics (5-6 per shift), central monitoring techs, and 24/7 dedicated respiratory therapy
• Nurses perform their own lab draws and start their own IVs
• Security and safety sitters available for patients held in the main ER until admission
• Uses MEDITECH 6.15 EMR
• 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required

• Caribbean Blue scrubs required
• Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts
• Orientation-related tasks (ORT) must be completed during the first week of assignment unless otherwise approved by EC leadership
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for placement
• Previous employees of the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible for placement
