Job summary

American Traveler, LLC seeks an RN for an Emergency Department role in Iowa. Requires BLS, ACLS, TNCC and 1–2 years of acute care experience; IA or Compact RN license; background checks; drug screen; titers; and mandatory reporter certification.

You'll work in a 17-bed ED within a 217-bed regional center with a 1:6 patient ratio, day shift 7am–7pm, every other weekend, and 24/7 call coverage. Housing/travel reimbursements may be included.

Qualifications

• Active RN license IA or Compact required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications.
• 1–2 years acute care experience.
• Clear Iowa SING background check with no exceptions.
• Pass a 10-panel drug screen.
• Titers for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB within last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in a 17-bed Emergency Room within a 217-bed regional center.
• Primarily adult and geriatric patient population; 1:6 ratio.
• Patient visits around 40 per day; daily duties in ED.
• Uses MediTech EHR in clinical workflows.
• Day shift 7am–7pm; every other weekend.
• 24/7 call coverage to support daily volume.
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult/geriatric cases.
• Facility offers Critical Care, Med/Surg, Acute Rehab, OB, Pediatrics, Cath Lab, Diagnostics, Wound Care and more.
• Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility for travel rate eligibility.
• Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within last 12 months.
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full-time.
• Monday or Tuesday start dates accepted.

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS, and TNCC
• 1-2 years of experience in an acute care facility required
• Must clear Iowa SING background check including criminal and child abuse portions with no exceptions
• All background checks across counties and states must be fully cleared prior to start; instant or statewide searches not accepted
• Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
• Must pass a 10-panel drug screening including opiates
• Titers required within the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
