Job summary
American Traveler Staffing Professionals is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department travel assignment in Midland, TX. The role requires Level II/III trauma experience and prior travel history, with a combined adult/pediatric patient population and a 13‑week contract.
Evening shifts are 3×12 hours (3:00 PM – 3:00 AM). Cerner charting experience is preferred, and active TX or compact RN licensure is required.
Qualifications
- Active TX or compact RN license required.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (NIHSS and NRP preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience; 5–8 years preferred.
- Trauma care experience including gunshot wounds and multisystem injury management.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to adult and pediatric ER patients in a high‑acuity setting.
- Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, central line care, and procedural sedation monitoring.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level II or III trauma experience and prior travel assignment history.
- Combined adult and pediatric patient population
- Evening shift, 3x12 hours (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM)
- 13-week contract assignment
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC (NIHSS and NRP preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a similar size facility required (5-8 years preferred)
- Skilled in trauma care including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and multisystem organ dysfunction
- Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, and 12‑lead EKG acquisition
- Proficient in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- Provide emergency care across a broad range of conditions including pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, respiratory distress, and neurological events
- Perform procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, central line care, and procedural sedation monitoring
- Administer emergency medications and IV vasopressors as needed
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility, and local candidates are not accepted
- RTO must be submitted with candidate profile; some holiday coverage expected
- Pending license accepted for consideration but must be active before start date
- Facility conducts its own on-site drug screening, including marijuana testing
