Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position in Tennessee. Requires 1+ year ER experience and EPIC EMR proficiency. Active TN license, ACLS/BLS and other certifications are required.

The role involves adult/pediatric ED care in a STEMI/Stroke certified facility with 1:4:1 patient ratios. Night shifts (3x12h) and potential unit floats are included, with travel benefits and housing allowance.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience.
• 2 years of charge nurse experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, MAB, NIHSS, PALS.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required.
• Community hospital experience preferred.
• Pediatric and psychiatric emergency care, IV therapy, respiratory management, cardiac monitoring, and emergency medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Work in a combined Adult/Pediatric General Emergency Department.
• Non-trauma ED setting within a STEMI and Stroke Certified Facility.
• Patient ratio of 1:4:1.
• Uses Omnicell medication system and EPIC for documentation.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 18:45-07:15.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need.
• Floating to other units may be required based on census needs.
• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric presentations.
• Perform triage, isolation precautions/PPE protocols, and splinting/orthopedic care as needed.
• Participate in weekly Monday orientation and annual compliance training.
• First-time travelers will be considered based on skill and experience.
• Floating required to other qualified units or campuses based on facility census needs.
