Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for the Emergency Department in Texas. You will work night shifts from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, three 12-hour days per week, in a hospital setting. TX or compact RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC required; BSN preferred and ED experience helps.

Candidates must reside within 50 miles for local consideration; new hires are precepted and onboarding includes competency validations. Weekly pay details are provided in the posting.

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TX or compact RN license, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.

Details

Work in the Emergency Care unit (ECC) of a hospital setting

Night shift schedule, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM

3 days per week, 12-hour shifts, full-time

Requirements

Active RN license in TX or compact state required

Current BLS certification required (AHA only)

Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)

Current PALS certification required (AHA only)

Current TNCC certification required

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred

1 year of experience in Emergency Department nursing preferred

Additional Information

Provide nursing care utilizing the full nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned ED patients

Administer medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness

Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided

Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families

Provide patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources

Complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation during onboarding

New hires are precepted by a designated trained staff member during onboarding

Complete annual competency verification requirements

Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius for local candidate consideration

Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees (non-travel) must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
