Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Dept RN in Virginia. The role requires an active VA or compact RN license and current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Expect 12-hour day shifts (7a-7p), totaling 36 hours per week, with no floating and a weekend commitment if needed.

Epic EMR access is required. Travel rate eligibility applies for candidates living outside a 50-mile radius; local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate. Former employees may be considered after 12 months.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required

Responsibilities

• Hospital Emergency Department setting
• 12-hour day shifts, 7a-7p schedule
• 36 hours per week on a standard schedule
• No floating required
• Weekend commitment of 6 shifts within 6 weeks if needed
• No on-call requirements
• Epic EMR access required
• Holiday coverage required for 1 major and 1 minor holiday
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate
• Former permanent employees may be considered 12 months after their last shift worked
