Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking an experienced RN for CVOR travel assignment in McKinney, TX. This 13-week onsite contract starts 9/30/2026, with day shift 12 hours per day, 3 days per week.

The unit features 7 OR suites, staff of 45, 1:1 patient ratio, Meditech EMR, and a variety of OR procedures including robotic, trauma, neuro, ortho/spine. Must have OR experience, neuro and ortho/spine experience, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Operating Room experience required.
• Neuro experience preferred.
• Ortho/Spine experience required.
• At least 1 year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in CVOR under surgeon's supervision.
• Maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
• Collaborate with OR team and anesthesia on procedures.

GENERAL INFORMATION

UNIT DETAILS:

• Number of Beds: 7 OR Suites
• Number of Staff: 45
• Type of Staff:
  • RNs
  • CSTs
  • Ancillary Support Staff
• Patient Ratio: 1:1 (Estimated)
• Equipment: Various
• EMR: Meditech

STAFFING:

Day Shift:

• 1 Charge RN
• 6–7 RNs
• 6–7 CSTs
• Orderly
• Anesthesia Techs

Night Shift:

• 1 RN
• 1 CST

TYPICAL HIRING PROFILE

SKILL SET MOST RECRUITED FOR: General / Trauma OR Skills

MUST HAVE:

• Operating Room experience
• Labor & Delivery experience alone is not applicable
• Neuro experience
• Ortho/Spine experience
• At least 1 year of experience

PREFERRED / NICE TO HAVE:

• Trauma Center experience
• Ortho experience

TYPICAL PROCEDURES PERFORMED ON UNIT:

• Orthopedic procedures
• Neurological procedures
• Robotic proceduresGeneral surgery

• Urology

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

WEEKENDS / ON-CALL:

• Call requirements are approximately 10 days per month, but may be up to 15 days per month
