Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced Medical ICU nurse for a temporary, full-time night assignment at Hilton Head Medical Center in Hilton Head, SC. The role is a contract position spanning 13–26 weeks with premium pay, featuring three 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m.–7 a.m.) and an every-other-weekend schedule based on unit needs.

You will join a collaborative ICU care team, applying your Med/Surg background to deliver timely, compassionate care while maintaining high patient safety standards

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in South Carolina.
• 2+ years recent Med/Surg RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• TNCC preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide timely care for ICU patients using Medical ICU experience.
• Assess patient conditions and respond with clinical judgment.
• Coordinate treatment with a multi-disciplinary team.
• Support Hilton Head Medical Center ICU departments with adaptability.

Additional scheduling expectations

Contract & Scheduling Details: Assignments range from 13-26 weeks. Nurses may be required to work every other weekend based on unit needs and are expected to work 50% of holidays occurring during their contract period.

• Step into critical moments, using your Medical ICU nursing experience to assess patients, prioritize needs and deliver timely care.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond with the clinical judgment and confidence that come from working in Medical ICU care.
• Use your clinical expertise to partner with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate treatment and support patients through urgent and emergent situations.
• Bring consistency and adaptability to your assignment, supporting our Hilton Head Medical ICU departments.
• Be a steady presence for patients and families, delivering safe, compassionate care when they need it most.

What We're Looking For

Required

• Current unrestricted RN license in the State of South Carolina
• 2+ years recent Med/Surg RN Experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required

Preferred

• TNCC preferred

Additional

• Specialty certification and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
