Job summary

AdventHealth StaffFlex nurses are valued team members who enjoy the flexibility to work contract assignments at one facility or float across multiple hospitals in 9 states. This RN role supports the clinical needs of patients in an acute hospital setting, with day shifts and PRN scheduling, based in Shawnee Mission, Kansas.

Eligible candidates hold an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), active RN license, BLS, and at least 2 years' acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years’ nursing experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Fluent in English; strong assessment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates critical thinking and documents patient data accurately.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and monitors safety.
• Educates patients and families on health conditions and care plans.
• Ensures timely handoffs and coordinates with the care team.
