Job summary

Novant Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse for a temporary, full-time night assignment at our freestanding ED in Charleston, SC. The contract runs 13–26 weeks with premium pay, three 12-hour night shifts per week, and potential support for additional EDs as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a SC RN license with 2+ years ER experience and current BLS/ACLS/PALS; NRP is required. TNCC preferred and specialty certifications encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license in South Carolina.
• 2+ years Emergency Room RN experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required; NRP is required.
• TNCC preferred; specialty certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Step into critical moments, assess patients, prioritize needs and deliver timely care.
• Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond with clinical judgment.
• Partner with a multi-disciplinary team to coordinate treatment and support urgent situations.
• Provide consistent, adaptable care as staffing needs change at freestanding EDs.
• Deliver safe, compassionate care for patients and families during emergencies.

Additional scheduling expectations

Contract & Scheduling Details: Assignments range from 13–26 weeks. Nurses may be required to work every other weekend based on unit needs and are expected to work 50% of holidays occurring during their contract period.

What We're Looking For
