Job summary

Novant Health's new Clements Ferry Emergency Department in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced RN to join the 7p-7a, 36-hour full-time night shift. You will provide direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of the Emergency Department leadership, deliver safe, high-quality care, and support a collaborative care environment from day one.

Requirements include an unrestricted RN license, 3+ years of emergency nursing experience, BLS, ACLS, PALS; TNCC within one year; NRP

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted RN license
• 3+ years emergency nursing experience
• Successful completion of nursing orientation program
• TNCC within one year of hire
• IV therapy competency within one year
• NRP preferred (training if not certified)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse
• Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients
• Cares for a diverse patient population from infants to geriatrics
• Works with the healthcare team to ensure quality outcomes
• Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports department goals
• Delivers nursing care aligned with established practice standards and guidelines
• Willing to float to comparable nursing units as needed

What You'll Do

• Provides direct and/or indirect nursing care under the direction of the Department Director and/or Charge Nurse
• Delivers safe, effective, and professional nursing care to assigned patients
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the healthcare needs of patients
• Cares for a diverse patient population, from infants to geriatrics (unless otherwise specified)
• Works collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintains a customer-focused approach and supports department goals
• Delivers nursing care aligned with established practice standards and clinical guidelines
• Must be willing and able to float to comparable nursing units as needed

What We're Looking For

• Current unrestricted RN license
• 3+ years of emergency nursing experience required
• Successful completion of nursing service orientation program
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
• NRP preferred (provided during training if not currently certified)
• TNCC required within one year of hire
• IV therapy competency within one year
• Annual participation in Skills Fair and completion of required competencies
• Specialty certification and/or participation in professional nursing organizations encouraged
