American Traveler is actively hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an outpatient OB/GYN specialty clinic in Alaska. An active AK RN license and prior case management experience are required to begin the consideration process.

The role features a 13-week travel assignment with a Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00 schedule. Housing and transportation aren’t provided and must be arranged independently.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AK RN license required at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last 2 years in a clinical setting (hospital, outpatient, or ambulatory).
• Case management certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient OB/GYN clinic setting.
• Ambulatory RN providing patient-centered care across the continuum.
• Monday–Friday, 0800–1700.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Floating to other departments or assignments as needed.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments and escalate changes in condition as needed.
• Provide patient and family education with culturally responsive care.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with providers and teams.
• Document assessments and outcomes in the EHR.
• Exercise independent nursing judgment within Alaska scope of practice.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.

• Monday through Friday schedule, 0800-1700
• 13-week assignment length
• Floating to other departments or assignments as needed
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
• Administers medications and treatments and recognizes changes in patient condition requiring escalation
• Provides patient and family education and culturally responsive, patient-centered care
• Coordinates referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services with providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Exercises independent nursing judgment consistent with Alaska Board of Nursing scope of practice
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities and reports adverse events or unsafe conditions
• Provides guidance and delegation to ancillary staff and supports mentoring of peers and students
• Traveler start date will be no less than 6 weeks after fingerprint cards are received by the facility
• Housing and transportation are not provided and must be arranged independently
