American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a PCU/IMU stepdown assignment in Wheeling, West Virginia. The role involves 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, with a 13-week duration and a start date of 01/12/2026. Experience in telemetry and acute care is essential, with WV or compact RN licensure.

The unit supports 30 beds with a mix of private and semi-private rooms. RNs will rotate through Tele and MedSurg, with on-site pharmacy, IV and RT support, and resident preceptorship on the first

Qualifications

• Active WV or compact RN license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent stepdown/telemetry/acute care experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications.
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility.

Responsibilities

• Care for IMU stepdown patients with 1:4–1:5 nurse/patient ratios.
• Interpret telemetry strips and monitor patient status.
• Float to Tele or MedSurg units as needed; support other teams.
• Administer and titrate medications as prescribed; manage IVs.
