Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry/Stepdown RN with 2+ years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience for a night shift assignment requiring Epic experience. Active WI or compact RN license, BLS/ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification are required.

Responsibilities include working on telemetry units with placement across PCU, Med-Surg, or Stepdown, night shifts, and potential float within 40 miles. Prior travel nursing experience and Nursys verification within 30 days are needed.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Minimum 2 years of PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry acute care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• RN Stepdown (PCU) specialty exam and skills validation
• Nursys license verification within 30 days prior to start

Responsibilities

• Works on a Telemetry Unit, with placement based on facility need across PCU, Med-Surg, or Stepdown units
• Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Epic EMR
• May be required to float within skill set onsite or to facilities within 40 miles if needed
• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry, PCU, or Med-Surg unit based on staffing needs
• Radius rules apply and may affect pay rate eligibility for candidates living near the facility
• Local candidates are accepted, though pay rate may be adjusted based on proximity
• Candidates must have a US Social Security Number and US home address for consideration
