Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Medical ICU night shift in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires 3+ years of Cardiac/Medical ICU experience and CVI post‑op recovery skills. Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 13 weeks, with 22-bed unit and 1:2 patient ratios.

Will float as needed and work every other weekend. Active Missouri (or compact) RN license, BLS/ACLS from AHA, NIHSS required; TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience required.
• Experience recovering open heart patients (CVI) required.
• Active RN license in Missouri or compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS from AHA plus NIHSS; TNCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, and related conditions.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate care provided by colleagues.
• Operate in a Level 2 Trauma Center and Level 1 STEMI Center setting as needed.
• Adhere to unit policies, PPE requirements, and infection control practices.
