Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. The role requires BLS and ACLS per American Heart Association standards, with responsibilities across the nursing process including assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care.

The RN collaborates with physicians and the health team, leads in coordinating care on the unit, and directs and delegates activities to the patient care team as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (RN required).
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in NY/CT is required.
• BLS is required, ACLS and other certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physiologic health status and mobility; develop care plans.
• Coordinate care with physicians and health team; document plans.
• Deliver prescribed treatments and medications safely and accurately.
• Educate patients and families; support discharge planning and referrals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and patient responses.
