Job summary

Quik Travel Staffing provides dialysis nursing placements nationwide, supporting facilities with highly qualified travel nurses. The Acute Dialysis RN position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care in acute/hospital settings, backed by a dedicated team of professionals.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year dialysis experience, an active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and are comfortable traveling to multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience as a dialysis nurse.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current state RN license in good standing, or compact state RN license in good standing where applicable.
• BLS certification required (Chronic and Acute settings).
• ACLS certification required (Acute setting only).

Responsibilities

• Provide dialysis treatments to acutely ill patients in an acute or hospital setting.
• Assess, monitor, and document patient response before, during, and after treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications and fluid therapy.
• Operate, maintain, and disinfect dialysis equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to develop treatment plans.
• Respond to emergencies and manage complications during dialysis.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety protocols.
• Educate patients and families on dialysis care and treatment expectations.
• Support and train hospital staff on dialysis procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
