Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Acute Dialysis RN for an acute care hospital setting in Florida. Requires FL or compact RN license, at least 1 year dialysis and travel nursing experience, and Epic charting knowledge. TPE/CRRT and blood product administration experience are required.

The role involves 3x12 hour day shifts, on-call duties, and potential float to multiple local facilities. High pay, bonuses, and housing assistance are offered.

Amia peritoneal cycler-CCPD experience required.
Experience administering blood/blood products during treatment required.
Experience with Baxter, Fresenius J/K, and Gambro equipment required.
Experience initiating and setting up dialysis treatment required.
Experience with machine alarm troubleshooting procedures required.
Experience with post-dialysis treatment procedures required.
Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required.
Experience with symptom management required.
Ability to cannulate AV fistula and AV graft.
Two supervisory references within past year required.
Flu vaccine required during flu season with exemptions only

Responsibilities

Dialysis unit care for HD, TPE; in-unit and bedside as applicable.
Average daily census around 30 patients.
Day shift 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 3x12h.
Every other weekend or 6 weekends per 6 weeks; on-call included.
On-call includes every other Saturday and Sunday call.
Float to Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera as needed.
Sunrise charting used; no prior experience required.
1:2 patient ratio maintained.
Level II trauma center with 514 beds; teaching hospital experience preferred.
Travelers may be matched with unit leader approval.

Requires every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, as determined by unit needs
On-call required, including every other Saturday and variable scheduled Sunday call
Float required within scope to Cape Canaveral, Holmes Regional, Palm Bay, or Viera facilities based on home base assignment
Sunrise charting system used, no prior experience required
1:2 patient ratio
Level II Adult Trauma acute care facility with 514 staffed beds
Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
Solid-colored scrubs required with matching top and bottom, no mixing, no logos or prints
Free parking with decal provided at orientation
First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
Former employees or contract staff must be separated from the facility for at least one year before returning as a traveler
Local candidates accepted at the same travel rate with no radius restriction
Finalized RTO must be submitted for consideration and will not be accepted after an offer is made
Travel pairs permitted with unit leader approval, though matching schedules are not guaranteed
