Job summary

Quik Travel Staffing seeks a Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT) to support our healthcare facility partners on travel contracts. You will assess patient responses, adjust therapy under supervision, and educate patients and families on dialysis care.

Requirements include 1+ year dialysis tech experience, current CCHT/BONENT certification, BLS, and ACLS for acute settings. Willingness to travel and maintain patient care excellence is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of recent experience as a dialysis technician.
• Current dialysis certification in good standing (CCHT or BONENT).
• BLS certification required (Chronic and Acute settings).
• ACLS certification required (Acute setting only).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient response to dialysis therapy and document findings.
• Adjust treatment plans as directed by supervisors or physicians.
• Administer medications as ordered.
• Educate patients and families about dialysis, diet, and medications.
• Travel to assignment locations and meet the facility schedule requirements.

Job Description - Chronic Dialysis Technician (PCT)

• Assesses patient response to dialysis therapy.
• Makes appropriate adjustments and modifications to treatment plans as indicated/directed by supervisors or prescribed by the physician.
• Assessment of patient pre, interim, and post dialysis and documentation of findings.
• Administers medications as ordered to assigned patients.
• Assesses educational needs of patient and educating the patient and family regarding end stage renal disease, dialysis therapy, diet and medications.
• Flexibility to travel to the assignment location.
• Availability to work the facility’s required schedule.
• Willingness to complete onboarding items in a timely manner.
• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and strive for the highest quality of patient care.
• Also referred to as: renal care technician, dialysis technician, dialysis tech.
